Larry Hunter started his career at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Co. as a Mock-up and Tooling Builder in 1980. During his only layoff (TILLOed into yards and grounds 1981 – 1984) he became a Safety Committeeman and started attending continuing education. He gained certificates in Labor Relations, Effective Negotiation, Planning and Supervision Management , as well as completing the Dale Carnegie Course. He has been either a Safety Committeeman or Shop Steward for most of his years working in the company. Larry has been both a local lodge and a district auditor many times over the years. He has also been on the New Technology Committee, the Bylaws Committee, and the Missouri State Labor Council.
He is a graduate of St. Charles High School. He lives in St. Charles county with his wife of more than 36 years, Omega. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. His hobbies are motorcycling, auto racing and Cowboy Action Shooting.
