2010 Boeing Negotiation
SOP #6
Strike Operating Procedure #6
St. Charles and I-170 Gate Picket Special Instructions
The gates located in St. Charles and at the bottom of the I-170
Ramp entrance into Boeing will not be serviced by the bus for drop off
or pick up of picketers.
These gates will only be manned at the 4AM, 8AM, Noon, and 4PM
gate assignments. (providing coverage from 4AM to 8PM in total)
Three (3) picketers will be assigned to these gates due to their
remote locations, however, only two (2) are required to be in place in
order to man the gate.
Picketers assigned to these gates will report directly to their
gate within 10 minutes of their assigned time.
Picketers MUST sign the sign-in sheet located at their gate.
At the completion of their assignment, picketers will come to
the Union Hall and have their Strike Card stamped for the week. They can
pick up their check at this time also. The Sign-in desk will require the
signed check-in sheet from the gate. The Security/Comm driver should
have picked this up at some time during their shift.
If a picketer arrives for duty at one of these gates and finds
him or her self without another member to walk with, the picketer will
secure all District property and return to the Hall for another
assignment. The picketer must use reasonable judgment how long to wait
for another to arrive. The picketer, if he or she chooses, can call the
Hall explaining they are alone and see if the Hall can deliver another
member to their gate in a reasonable period of time.
