Dear Boeing Brothers and Sisters,

I want to thank everyone who took the time to complete the Contract Surveys those results are a guide for the Bargaining Committee as we prepare our proposals and our responses to the proposals we received from the Company. The survey results revealed that the top three concerns of our members are:

·        -Improvements to Pension.

·        -Improvements to Job Security.

·        -Improvements to Healthcare.

For the past several days your Sub-Committees have been meeting regularly with the Company and have exchanged numerous proposals. The following is some of the proposals received from the Company that we are MOST unhappy with to date are:

·        A proposal to retain employees out of seniority in the event of a layoff (Retention).

·        Numerous proposals to delete current language that requires employees to work 40 hours in a            week before any overtime is paid.

·        Mandatory paycheck direct deposit for all.

·        New language to require employees to call their Supervisor within 1 hour of the start of the shift

or receive discipline, including up to termination.

·        Proposal to delete signed Memorandum Of Understanding that protected seniority, overtime                  requirements.

·        Proposal to restrict the right of Shop Stewards to represent our members.

·        Proposals to delete Supplemental #12 on employee security for the support labor grade.

·        Proposal to merge Job Specification language within labor grades.

·        Proposal to merge the Support Labor Grade seniority list into a single list.

Please remember Brothers and Sisters, contract negotiations is an ongoing process. It is imperative that we all stand united to obtain the benefits we deserve and defend the benefits we currently enjoy. We encourage every member who purchased a Contract Negotiations T-shirt to show Unified support for the Bargaining Committee by proudly wearing them every Wednesday during the negotiations process.
