UPDATE ON NEGOTIATIONS

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We began Main Table Negotiations with the Company and had frank discussions regarding Non-Economic and Job Specs proposals from both sides. We reached tentative agreements on Glossary of Terms and SMAR classification.

The Company withdrew its proposal to merge classifications within the Support Labor Grade. The only Job Specifications that remains open is the Munitions Mechanic and Leadman.

Some Union proposals still on the table are the ability to use vacation in one hour increments, removing vacation scheduling restrictions, extending recall rights, delete Supervisors right to return to the shop with seniority and compensate employees for overtime being out of balance.

Some Company proposals that remain are retention, limiting union representation, mandatory direct deposit and 40 compensated hours before overtime pay.

We are hopeful that we can work through the remaining open proposals before the Union presents its proposals on economics and benefits.

We appreciate your continued support for the Bargaining Committee. We are working hard to bring you the best possible contract and one that recognizes all your hard work.

Please have a safe Memorial Day weekend. Continue to wear Negotiation T-shirt every Wednesday in support of Bargaining Committee.

A Quality Work Force Deserves a Quality Contract.

Fraternally yours,
Gordon King
