Dear Brothers and Sisters, 

The Bargaining Committee continues to meet with the Company to negotiate a fair and equitable contract for all our members. We continue to review all the proposals the Company has presented. As in past negotiations the Company claims its proposals are designed to address better ways of managing the workforce. While we are always willing to discuss any Company proposal we CANNOT accept the numerous attacks on our seniority: i.e., RETENTION. We will keep you informed of any new developments.

On another note, I urge everyone to make plans to attend your Local Lodge Meeting this month. Lodge “A” Meeting is this Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Lodge “A” also is holding an election for new Officers and Delegates the same day. Lodge “A” members can vote between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Lodge “B” Meeting has been moved to Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. as not to conflict with Mother’s Day.

Attending your Lodge Meeting is a great way to get answers and information about current negotiations.
