Dispersal of Strike Benefits
IF APPROVED BY INTERNATIONAL
The District Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for all
transactions involving International or District payments for Strike
duty. He shall have the final decision on all issues revolving around
pay and will carry out his Constitutional duties.
The District will attempt to have two pay periods each week.
Pending approval by the International, The District will issue strike
payments during regular business hours on Tuesday and Thursday.
Payments will be scheduled in accordance with completing your
assigned duties. Strike benefit pay from the International and from the
District will be paid in accordance with the International Constitution.
The International currently pays $150 per week per Constitution and the
District will pay $30 per week per the District by-laws.
The District will designate the room for check dispersal.
Payments will be scheduled in accordance with your assigned
duties. This requires each member to have completed their previous
week’s assignment, had their card properly stamped and signed in on the
appropriate form..
Strike Captains will assist in the dispersal of checks during
their watch. He or she will ensure that proper identification is
presented and appropriate forms are signed before you receive your
check, The Strike Captains will not have the ability to resolve any
issues you may have with a check but will forward your complaint or
concern to the District Secretary-Treasurer for resolution.
Security will provide a man to be present with the Strike
Captain during open hours of dispersal.
Sign-in committee persons may assist the Strike Captain in
dispersal of checks during their shift if the Secretary-Treasurer deems
it necessary.
Members MUST be present on one of the check dispersal days to
pick up a check. No check will be issued to someone other than the
member to which the check is issued. A photo ID and signature will be
required for each member to receive their check.
Members working in the Hall can pick up their checks during any
of the open dispersal hours as the check will be for the previous weeks
completed duty.
