 Homer Clawson

Homer Clawson serves the membership as a Business Representative with special duties in Organizing.

Homer was born August 13, 1953 in St Louis, MO, however; grew up mostly in Blytheville, ARK (which he considers home). 

Homer hired on at McDonnell Douglas in  June of 1975 as an Aircraft Mechanic. Prior to this, he served his country and fellow men in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975. As a Viet Nam Veteran, Homer is acutely aware of the duty one man owes his brothers and sisters in maintaining social equality and in extending a helping hand to those less fortunate.

Homer and his wife, Lori, live in Wright City, Mo. He takes great pride in his three children and five grandsons.  

Throughout his career, Homer spent time cultivating the Union. He held many positions with the Local Lodge District, and International. Homer has been a Union Steward, Plant Chairman, Lodge Officer, Lodge Editor, Apprentice Organizer, District Organizer, and Negotiator.

Homer has completed training at the Wipinsinger Training Center for the IAM in HPWO, Organizing, and Leadership classes. 

When asked what he plans to accomplish in life, Homer expresses the following goal:

"To dedicate my time to the growth of the IAM and to assure the best possible representation for my fellow members, who just happen to be the number one people in my life and shall remain that way!"
