New Machinists Union members at Boeing South Carolina are standing strong despite the company’s attempt to silence their voice. The Boeing Co. on Tuesday issued an appeal with the NLRB challenging the decision of Boeing Flightline Workers in North Charleston to join the IAM. The Flightline workers voted nearly two-to-one for the IAM. The Machinists are joining U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy (CT) in a push to increase Buy America provisions for defense products made for the military to 100 percent.
